Simply History

Sailing first appeared at the Paris 1900 Olympic Games, when it was often known as yachting.

Para Sailing was part of the Paralympic Games from 2000 to 2016, giving sailors with disabilities a global stage.
Modern windsurfing developed in the 1960s, with Hoyle Schweitzer and Jim Drake helping patent an influential sailboard design in 1968.
Organised boating and sailing clubs expanded in the 1800s, with yacht racing becoming internationally recognised through events such as the America's Cup from 1851.

  4. Earn an Adventurer Badge for each completed Discovery Mission.
  5. Unlock your Adventurer Certificate when you have completed 4 of your chosen Discovery Missions.
